The Comox Valley is one of the most beautiful places on Vancouver Island. Positioned on the East Coast of Vancouver Island the Comox Valley is the recreation capital of Canada.

The Comox Valley is made up of the distinctive and colourful communities of Courtenay, Comox and Cumberland and the surrounding Regional District rural areas. The City of Courtenay (20,000) is the urban and cultural hub of the Comox Valley. Located along the Courtenay River in the heart of some of the Island's most beautiful farming land, Courtenay is a bustling metropolis with galleries, theatres, shops and restaurants.
Downtown Courtenay is considered one of the most vibrant and charming downtowns on Vancouver Island. In addition to unique shops, services and eateries, Courtenay is also home to an incredible cultural district that includes the Sid Williams Civic Theatre, Comox Valley Art Gallery and the Courtenay and District Museum and Paleontology Centre.
The Town of Comox has recently undergone a downtown revitalization project enhancing the historic flavour of the seaside community. At the heart of Comox is the Fisherman's Wharf which features a major marina with a public boardwalk perfect for viewing the boats that visit and work out of the Comox Harbour. Fresh seafood sales right off the boat add to the charm of this visitor friendly community. Comox is also home to great seaside shops and pubs, art galleries, two golf courses, the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park and Canadian Forces base, 19 Wing Comox. Comox also hosts events including the Filberg Festival and Nautical Days.
